 Welcome to the Boise Philharmonic’s 2007-2008 season! Whether this is your 1st concert or your 100th, we are sure you will enjoy the repertoire programming this year. As you are aware, we are in the second year of a search for a new Music Director/Conductor. We enjoyed the talent of five candidates last year and will have six more to lead the orchestra this year. The final concert of the year will provide us with two special events: James Ogle will return to the podium; and the orchestra will premiere a symphony composed by James Cockey. This will be an opportunity for us to pay tribute to James Ogle and his 20 years with the Boise Philharmonic. The orchestra is playing better than ever. From your comments, we know that you’ve noticed and it is a sign of the cultural and, indeed, moral health of a community. An accomplished orchestra such as ours, demonstrates the continued livability of the Treasure Valley. The Boise Philharmonic Orchestra is indeed a “Treasure.” Nonetheless, look around you. Chances are there are a few open seats. Help us preserve and grow the Boise Philharmonic Orchestra. Share your evening at the symphony with family and friends!
