Anthony C. Boatman

Tony Boatman was appointed Executive Director of the Boise Philharmonic Association in September of 2000, and has 22 years of orchestral management experience and a total of 38 years of service in the not-for-profit world. He is a native of Logansport, Indiana, and received his B.A. degree from the University of South Florida. Following three years as a Peace Corps Volunteer teacher in Cameroon, West Africa, he embarked on his career path with community service organizations. Mr. Boatman served as Director of Development for the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra in Minnesota, and held similar positions with the San Antonio and Fort Worth Symphonies in the State of Texas. In 1998 he was appointed Executive Director of the Washington Chamber Symphony, the resident chamber orchestra at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., a position he held until accepting his position with the Boise Philharmonic.
